Google New Feature Nearby Share File Transfer Launch Soon

This special feature is being given in Android smartphones like Apple AirDrop

Google is now bringing features like Apple's AirDrop for Android users. Google's Nearby Share feature can prove to be a threat to third party file transfer applications.

Because till now, Android did not have a unified native file transfer feature other than Bluetooth which can share files, photos, and videos from one smartphone to another as fast as ShareIt.

Google has confirmed that the Nearby Share feature is being introduced for Android smartphones. Talking about this feature, it will be quite simple and easy to use as well.

For example, if you want to share a file or image with other Android smartphones, you have to use the share icon by selecting the file, photos, or other content.

Features like Apple AirDrop:

As soon as tapping the share icon, your phone will search for nearby Android smartphones. In other phones, an option to open it will be given. A similar feature is also offered on Apple iPhone and MacBook.

It is important that Google will not launch any special app for this, rather it will work like an inbuilt feature on the phone with updates.

Google's Nearby Sharing feature will use Bluetooth, WiFi, low energy Bluetooth, and WebRTC to transfer files from one Android smartphone to another. It depends on which option is available in file transfer smartphones and at the time of file transfer.

Some options will also be given in this feature. Under this, you can keep it on or off. If you keep reserving off, other Android smartphones will not be able to find your phone. To transfer it has to be turned on and the files have to be accepted.

Here you will find the option of hidden, visible to all contacts along with visible only to lesser contacts. You will be able to control it only from the quick settings of the Android smartphone.

Google has said that this feature will work in smartphones running on any Android 6 or above. According to the company, for now, this feature is being released for select pixels and Samsung smartphones.

In the coming time, this feature will also be given in other Android-based smartphones and for this, Google is working together with other mobile companies.
