In terms of sales, India's largest Chinese smartphone maker, Omi, is making a new version of its MIUI software. To comply with Indian restrictions on the Chinese app, Omi is making this software. 


This information was given by India's head Manu Jain by issuing a statement through a Twitter post on Friday. Jain has said that the company is complying with Indian restrictions on the Chinese app.


Banned Chinese app not to be pre-installed in new software


We want to clarify that any Chinese app left on behalf of the Government of India is no longer accessible in the omi phones launched in India, "Manu Jain said. 


Jain has said that we are doing MIUI software in which no banned Chinese app will be pre-installed. MIUI is an operating system on which all smartphones run. This is an important part of the company's business model.


Indian users' data is stored in the country since 2018


Manu Jain said that the company has been storing the data of Indian users in the country since 2018 and will continue further. He also claimed that no data has ever been shared outside the country. 


He said that those who are spreading misinformation about the company's apps and the left, the company has the right to take legal action against them.


Xiaomi's Mi browser has been banned


After the border dispute in the Galway Valley of Ladakh, the Government of India has put a ban on a total of 106 apps linked to Chinese companies. It also includes apps like Omi's Mi browser and Mi community. 


Mi browser has been banned on charges of collecting users ' information. However, the company has denied these allegations. The company offers pre-loaded apps in phones sold in India. These include video, music playback, security, web browsing, and the app of the Mi store, your e-commerce store.


Xiaomi sends the reply to the government


Like other banned apps, Omi has also answered 77 questions sent by the government. The company is now awaiting a personal hearing on behalf of the Government. 


Chinese apps that have been banned on behalf of the Government of India are the heads of Bitdance-owned Ticketock, Tanst's VChat, Alibaba Group's UC Browser, and UC News.
